In Favour of the Tux
A Visual Essay - Paris by Andrew Willis of Studio Willis
I always wear a black tie tuxedo when I go out to a club. Maximes. Silencio. L’Arc. Le Carmen — Le Klub. Whether it’s chic or punk, it is my trademark. And it balances perfectly in the constant highbrow whirlwind of Paris. (Parisians curate themselves and expect others to do the same.)
Tom Ford would appreciate this. His formalwear is the greatest ever made. And if you buy a Tom Ford Cotton Cocktail Voile, the rest can be vintage from the Bastille. (It is the shirt that makes a man.)
And together, it is always the man who comes alone in the tuxedo that people remember, and want to know.
